Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Our courses and exams are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR for short. Language skills are classified according to three levels: A for elementary, B for independent, and C for competent language use.
For each level there are specific goals that can be achieved in the skills of reading, listening, writing and speaking. You will find more information below.
As a rule, it should be possible to complete one level in 160 lessons – depending on the intensity of the course attended – in seven weeks. Regular class attendance and intensive review of the material covered is a prerequisite. In the case of individual instruction, the total number of hours required to complete a course level is reduced by approximately 50%.
